The show was cancelled by Jessica 7th Heaven in season six. The awe-inspiring performance she gave in the character of teenage Casey Jackson in the film Ulee's Gold brought her instant fame. The film even awarded her the title of award for the Best Young Supporting Actress in the film. Summer Catch, a comedy film in which she was a part of can be a proof of her acting talent. Despite her impressive performance in Rules of Attraction her film didn't receive much attention. Then her performance in the movie The Texas Chainshaw Massacre caught people's attention.
